    Patient Information
    At the top of the New, Refill and Transfer order pages we ask you to select a patient. The name of the registered person will always show in this drop down, so you do not need to enter this information once again. Before your order is complete, we will ask you to verify this information and add any medical or health information that applies to you. Click on "Add" if you have a different patient you would like to order for. We need these patient details to ensure that we have all the information we need to provide you with the best possible service.

    You may create a new Patient Profile or update an existing patient profile at any time without having to place an order. Please review and update patient information regularly to maintain its accuracy. Patient profile information is maintained in our database and will remain there for your future orders.
    To complete the patient profile, we will need the following information:
    1. Patient name
    2. Patient phone number
    3. Patient date of birth
    4. Patient's home store
    5. Medical profile:
      • Known drug allergies
      • Known medical conditions
      • Current medications
    6. Personal preferences
      • Substituting with generics
      • Child safety caps
    Date of Birth: To enter the patient's date of birth, use our calendar, or type it yourself by following this format: mm/dd/yyyy. To use the calendar, click on "Calendar", and a calendar box will appear. In this order, choose the month, year and then the day of the birthday.

    *Hint: sometimes the calendar box will be hidden if you happen to click on the window behind it. To retrieve the calendar box, look in your task bar (bottom of screen), and maximize it from there.

    Home Store: By telling us which of our pharmacies you normally fill your prescription at you can help us to expedite your order to you. We can contact your "Home Store" pharmacy to confirm your medical profile and insurance information, research that would otherwise delay the processing of your order. If you would like to use insurance for your online order and if that insurance is already on file at your home store, then we will use the information that is already at that store, so you do not have to enter it on our site.

    Even if you have never filled a prescription with one of Albertson's family of pharmacies, you can still choose which store you would like your home store to be. Here are 3 ways to take advantage of our home store option:

    • If the patient has previously purchased a prescription from one of our family of pharmacies (Albertson's, ACME, Grocery Warehouse, Max Foods, Osco, Savon, or Seessel's), please select a pharmacy from the pharmacy locator. We will utilize this pharmacy to fulfill the patient's prescription order and as a reference for prescription profile and prescription insurance information.

    • If the patient has not previously purchased a prescription from one of our family of pharmacies, please select a pharmacy from the pharmacy locator near your home and we will utilize this pharmacy to fulfill the patient's prescription order and develop prescription profile and prescription insurance information.

    Medical Profile: Click on "Edit" next to medical profile, and the medical profile page will appear. Check the boxes next to the drug allergies and medical conditions that pertain to the patient. If you do not see the specific allergy or medical condition, use the text boxes provided to enter these. If you are currently using any medications, please list those in the "List Current Medications" box. Click on "Continue" to be taken back to the Patient Information page.

    *Note: Please verify that the Patient Profile Information is current and up to date before you place an order on Savon.com. This must be done from the Patient Profile page, before an order is started.


    New Prescriptions
    In order to fill a new prescription, we will need to know the following:
    1. Patient Information (select a patient).
    2. How Savon.com will receive the prescription.
    3. How many new prescriptions you will be filling (for each patient).
    4. Doctor contact information.
    5. The name of the medication being requested (optional).
    6. The medical condition or disease (optional).
    7. List any special instructions you may have concerning the prescription(s).

    Who is this prescription for?
    Click on "Add" to enter a patient profile if you haven't done so. If you have already done so, go ahead and select that patient from the drop down box.

    How will Savon.com receive the prescription?
    The method by which we will receive the new prescription is entirely up to you. These are the options you can choose from:
    1. My doctor will fax in the prescription.
    2. My doctor will call in the prescription.
    3. I want the pharmacist to call my doctor.
    4. My doctor will mail the prescription in.
    5. I will mail my prescription to Savon.com.
    • Mailing your prescription to us is the slowest way to get your prescription filled. Asking your doctor to phone or fax the prescription to the pharmacy is the fastest way to get your prescription filled.

    • If you would like us to phone the doctor, please make sure to provide the correct phone number and doctor information. Because doctors can be very difficult to reach, it may take more time to process your order if you choose this method.

    • You can have the prescription called in, faxed in, or mailed in before or after you have placed your order on Savon.com. However, Savon.com cannot process the prescriptions until you have completed your order request on Savon.com.
    Prescription Information
    1. Enter the number of prescriptions you want filled for this patient.
    2. Doctor Information:
      • Add a doctor to the prescription by selecting "Add New Doctor". A box will pop up where you can enter the doctor's contact information. Enter the information and click save, now that doctor will be saved in the doctor list. The next time you order just select that doctor from the drop down list.
      • Please provide the doctor's name for each prescription request. You may add a doctor to the user profile from this page.
    3. Entering the name of the medication and medical condition on the site is helpful, but not required. Don't worry about spelling these drug names correctly, we will verify all prescriptions before we proceed with the order processing.

    Transfer Prescriptions
    1. Patient Information (select a patient).
    2. Enter the pharmacy information where your prescription was last filled.
    3. Enter the number of transfer prescriptions you want filled for this patient.
    4. Enter the name of the medication and the prescription number for each prescription.
    5. List any special instructions you may have concerning the prescription(s).


    Refill Prescriptions
    1. Patient Information (select a patient).
    2. Enter the last four digits of the patient's phone number (same as the one on the previous prescription label).
    3. Enter the pharmacy store number on the previous prescription label.
    4. Enter the number of refill prescriptions you want filled for this patient.
    5. Enter the refill number from the previous prescription label.


    Verify Order
    Once you have finished entering your new, transfer or refill prescription information we ask that you verify this information before continuing with your order. If you would like to edit or remove a prescription, click on the "Edit" or "Remove" button corresponding to that prescription. If you would like to add a prescription you can also do that from this page by clicking on "Fill a Prescription", "Refill a Prescription" or "Transfer a Prescription".

    Select Payment/Delivery Type:
    1. Pick up at Store/Pay at Store
      Wait to provide payment of your choice at the store when you pick up your order.

    2. Pick up at Store/Pay Online
      Pick your order up at the store, but pay online using your credit card, debit card.

    3. Deliver/Pay Online
      Orders being delivered via Fedex or UPS will require online payment using credit card information.
    Select a store for delivery or pick up:
    Select the store where you would like to pick up your order, or from which your order will be filled and delivered. Choose the Internet Pharmacy Option if you would prefer to have our Internet Fulfillment Pharmacy fulfill and ship your order to you, or if there is not a local Albertson's family of pharmacies near you. Using the Internet Fulfillment Pharmacy can provide a level of anonymity that is important for some patients.

    *Note: please allow 48 hours for your order to be processed. Please contact the pharmacy where you will pick up your order and they will answer any questions you have in regards to the status of your order.


    Payment/Delivery

    Payment Options
    SELF-PAY
    • Insurance will not be used to pay for the prescriptions. If this is how you would like to proceed, select "Self-Pay".
    INSURANCE PAY
    • If you have already used your insurance at the store that is filling your prescription, simply choose "use the insurance information at the delivery store" on the checkout page.

    • If the insurance doesn't cover the entire cost of the prescription, or to cover the cost of your insurance co-pay, we ask you to enter your payment information online. If you choose to Pick up and Pay at Store, you can wait to pay the difference when you pick up your order.

    • It is your responsibility to keep your insurance information up to date and accurate. If you need to update your insurance information, please contact your home store and the pharmacist there can do that for you, or you can edit it online when you place your order. As you continue to order with Savon.com, please verify each time that the Insurance Information is complete and accurate.

    • You can speed the processing of your order by providing us with complete insurance information.

    • If you would like to use a different insurance or if you have not previously filled a prescription at one of Albertson's family of pharmacies, click on "Add" next to the insurance line.

    • Entering your insurance is easy, just follow these simple steps:
      1. Under payment options, select insurance, and then click on "Add" next to the drop down box. We will save this information for you, so you will not have to enter it again. You can also add more insurance accounts if necessary.

      2. Enter Cardholder Information: name and date of birth. To enter the cardholder's date of birth, use our calendar, or type it yourself by following this format: mm/dd/yyyy. To use the calendar, click on "Calendar", and a calendar box will appear. In this order, choose the month, year and then the day of the birthday.

      3. Enter Insurance Company Information: company name, drug benefit plan, plan number, member ID number, group number, relationship of patient to cardholder, number of dependents, patient ID number, group number, and any additional information you may have that we do not ask for. In order to use the insurance the company name and relationship to cardholder must be provided. We can research the rest of the information by calling the insurance company, however, this research may delay the processing of your order.

    • If you have already entered the insurance information for the patient you are ordering for, use the drop down box to select it, and click "Continue" to proceed.
    Payment Preferences (For Online Payment Only)
    1. To pay online, you must enter your credit card type, card number, and expiration month and year.
    2. Enter the maximum charge that you will allow on your credit card. Your card will not be automatically charged this amount.
    3. If there is a problem/question concerning your order or billing, please specify how you would like us to contact you. We can either e-mail you or phone you.

    If you choose to pay with insurance we ask that you enter your payment information in case the insurance does not cover the entire cost of the prescription, or to cover the cost of your insurance co-pay. If you choose to Pick Up and Pay at Store, you can wait to pay the difference when you pick up your order.

    FEDEX OR UPS DELIVERY
    If you choose to have your order delivered you will need to select the delivery option you want from the drop down box. Please refer to the chart provided at the bottom of the checkout page to review time frames and costs for Fedex or UPS delivery. We do not offer delivery service for perishable prescription items, however we are happy to complete these orders for pick up at your local pharmacy.

    Please review the "Ship To" information to verify that it is complete and accurate. If you would like to make a change, go ahead and do edit on this page.


    Order Number
    Upon successful completion of your order, you will receive an Order Number. Write this number down. Use your Order Number to track the status of your order and communicate any changes you would like to make on your order with customer service.

    Please allow 48 hours for your order to be processed.
    Your order will be ready for you to pick up when either one of two things happen:
    1. You have received an email stating that your order is ready for pick up.
    2. Your order status says "filled" (under the Pharmacy Order History feature).
    *Note: If you have a refill order, that you are paying for at the store, you will not receive a confirmation number or an email notifying you that your order is ready to pick up.

    Order History
    The fulfillment of a prescription order has to go through many steps in order to comply with pharmacy standards. By viewing your Pharmacy Order History, you can track the progress of your order.

    Status definitions:
    Ordered Your order was successfully submitted and is being reviewed and assigned to a specific store for fulfillment.
    In Progress The prescription and insurance information is being verified by the pharmacy. The prescription is ready to be filled.
    Filled The prescription has been successfully filled and is now packaged and ready for delivery or pick up.
    Shipped The prescription has been picked up by Fedex or UPS for delivery or the customer has picked up the prescription at the selected store.
